Materials:

If you have any piece of jewelry you’re already bored by its lack of color or brightness (as in my case with this ring with a matte gray stone) You can change the stone making it look like a semi precious stone. Choosing the right color, like a jade green tone and a clear nail lacquer, you can change the stone of your ring and elongate it’s life.

Process:

1. Paint on the stone with the nail polish (in this case, jade green) Paint with short strokes over each other so you give the feeling of different dimensions as a jade stone would look like.

2. After it’s dry, paint a layer covering the whole ring with clear nail polish. This will help the metal not to change color with time wen in contact with our skin and stay brighter and shinier.

This tip is ideal for using the same ring with several stones, because to change the stone on your ring you just have to remove the nail polish with acetone and repaint in another color… What would you think of trying it with black? brown?  red?… or your favorite color?

This tip is also ideal for earrings, brooches and bracelets.

I hope this helps you with your jewelry and you will be encouraged to give a facelift to your forgotten pieces.

Until the next time!
