Hello DIY’ers!! I’m super happy to announce that this weekend I’ll teach my first workshop!! It’s amazing the support you have given me in every step of the blog, which already is a little over 2 years old. I’m very grateful!
I can not wait to meet you guys in person, so if you live in Barcelona or near by, don’t miss this workshop that I made especially for you!!! I’ll teach two workshops on how to make leather accessories. You will learn some cool DIY ideas that I’m sure are going to be helpful for your gifts this holiday season.
As some of you may know, this last Sunday my husband and I had our birthday… Yes, you heard right, our birthday is the same day. It’s a bit weird, but at the same time it feels a bit like Christmas, it’s a gift exchange tradition.
I was able to buy this old leather armchair. He has always wanted one, but never has taken the step to buy one. (He is a total vintage -leather -industrial freak) And I could not resist buying this beautiful leather chair I found and sneak it home with a surprise party with all his family. He was so surprised! He loved it! At the same time I wanted to give the gift with a DIY touch, to make it a little more personalized. So I opt for making him a DIY stamped pillow for the chair, that says “El sillón de Jose Luis” witch in spanish means “Jose Luis’s chair”
Here I will show you step by step how I did it. It’s a very simple tutorial and with this technique you can make very original pillows. Wan’t to try?
To start this week so close to Christmas eve, I bring you a very easy DIY you can make and also use for the holidays… How you can make a belt with a necklace application. The result is very cute, and it can brighten up any simple look you wear. Dare to shine!
The “metal” or “metallic ” finish comes stomping hard in this season. Whether it’s gold tone, bronze or silver (my favorite). We can see this trend very present in accessories and shoes. And as I always say: Why not make our DIY version!?
I got inspired by the shoes with metal plates from Marni and Céline to recreate this DIY low cost version Lace ups with metallic plaque. Very simple to make and you can remove it and put it on anytime. Transform any lacing shoe with this tutorial!
Hello DIY’ers! Today we have a very special post. The author of today’s post is our special guest Laura Opazo (check out her blog HERE). She is a stylist for TV productions and the commercial chief of Harper’s Bazaar Spain. If you live in Spain, you probably have seen her at her TV show “Moda reto” and “Que regalo” at Canal de Casa. I discovered Laura watching Canal de Casa and from the first moment I was hooked on her great fashion tips and advice.
Today Laura shares with us at Plan B some very cool tips and tricks for any trouble you might have with your clothes. From what to do if you spill nail polish on your favorite dress to how to make a hole in a belt with no punch.
Hello DIY‘ers! In today’s post I’ll show the (anti – theft) DIY backpack that I used while in Thailand, and that I currently use in Barcelona (especially if I take the subway). This backpack has a hidden zipper in a fold, which only allows you to open the bag taking the backpack of, This way nobody can be able to take anything out without you knowing it… Do you like this idea!? Go ahead and learn how to make yours !
I love autumn and its colors! The warm tones as mustards and oranges, make this time of the year very special. That’s why I created this DIY tutorial to make a necklace of roses with these vibrant colors. Taking inspiration from the flower necklace by Bimba y Lola. See how you can create this necklace of roses with pieces that you already have at home.
Never underestimate the power of a cool bag! And especially this one, the famous “transparent satchel” designed by Geneva from the blog A Pair & a Spare for the DIY web selling materials Wander and Hunt . Geneva has been so kind to send me this kit that comes with everything you need to make this bag. It’s so cool and with a clean and simple design that makes it very easy to match with different styles and looks .
I have prepared a DIY for this bag, as I am the kind girl who carries A LOT! in my bags and not very organized… I created an organizer for your bag with divisions you can bring inside so your most intimate belongings are not shown (flushed face). You can choose a fabric with a fun pattern, and you can make several organizers to exchange according to your look of the day . And wen you are in a hurry and need to change bags, just take the organizer out and put it in another bag without fear that you’ve forget nothing on the way… Continue reading →
Hello DIY‘ers! Here more ideas to reuse pieces of your wardrobe! For me it’s a fun challenge to find more than one use for each object that I have (this has already become a national sport in my closet) As we soon will be switching from summer to winter clothing in our closets, we can look for good pieces to transform and accessories that can mutate.
I’m back from Thailand DIY‘ers! And I’m full of energy to start the new season with DIY’s for all tastes and levels! (soon photos of my trip 😉
I have been seeing that the trend of “lace up” or short boots with semi-open sides are sweeping the streets this season… And of course we can’t leave the DIY version out. You will see how easy it is to use your old “lace up” or “brogues” and renew them only by cutting holes.
