One of the Must pieces of this past summer was the sports shorts or running shorts. This very 80’s aerobic/sports fashion garment came roaring back this summer 2014… but it seems its persisting on to this fall fashion trends. Personally I like the cut and how comfortable they are. These loved-hated shorts that we always visualize in pastel or neon color (because of the decade that they reminds us), are now back in more modern materials such as leather or sequined fabric or prints. Here is a small selection of some of my favorites. This will help us inspire us for our next DIY. Whitch one is your favorite? Continue reading
Hello DIY’ers! How is your summer going so far? Here in Barcelona it’s waaaay hot! Today we have a post of inspiration with a material that I love! Is the eyelet fabric, also known as the embroidered cotton fabric (It has a thousand different names, What do you call it?)
Here you can see some different ways in which it can be applied for a summery look. One of my favorite is the skirt, with shorter lining so you can see the legs silhouette. So, can you already predict the next DIY?
It’s not a surprise that we continue wearing bohemian and hippy style clothing. Because of so many music festivals this season, these items are a MUST, no matter what other parallel trend is going on at the time.
A bohemian shirt or blouse is ideal for a relaxed, summery and comfortable look. Here I have made a small collection of images to inspire you for our next DIY tutorial ” DIY Bohemian shirt “. Which one is your favorite look?
One of the items I use a lot to decorate my house and I can get for free, is to reuse bottles or jars as vases. I love to recycle these pieces, the wine bottles, water bottles or soda bottles (glass bottles of course) can be used very nicely in different compositions playing with the heights and shapes of the bottles. It definitely gives a special touch to any corner of your home… and did I already mentioned that they are free? I don’t think twice about asking for water bottles to take home in restaurants … and so far I have not received any no’s.
Here you will see a small selection of images of bottles to use, how to use them and how to be inspired to integrate it into your personal style. Hope you like it.

Hello DIY‘ers! Spring is much more present and I feel the urge to wear dresses! Let’s get inspired by these drop waist dresses for our next DIY post. It’s a type of dress cut that was very In in the 20’s and 30’s when women were “liberated” from the corsette’s and began using more loose clothing. It is also one of the great classics of Chanel. I really love the cut, because for us who have short upper body it elongates and slims the figure a lot.
Get inspired by your favorite style and prepare your scissors, soon the DIY drop wait dress on the blog. Continue reading

It’s the “pink gold” or “rose gold“, this trendy yet feminine tone makes a big statement in both clothes and accessories in every place we see this season. I really love it! And I think it complements most of the skin tones. Let’s get inspired by this metal, for our next DIY this week. What will you like to do with this inspiration?

Hello DIY’ers! Here a little inspiration project that serves both as decoration for a special corner of your house, or to make a fun and different gift. And it’s as simple as planting a Cactus in a can. If you manage to get Mexican products cans, I think it looks even better (like canned jalapeños, sauces or chili). Or you can opt for a vintage style tin can or coffee cans. I loved this idea and I think it can add a touch of color and fun to any room, plus we are recycling our cans!!. I hope you like it as much as me 😉
