Hello DIY‘ers! I’m sorry I’ve been absent these days… I have been working on some projects and on my trip to London. But I’m back with more DIY‘s! Following our last post inspiration eyelet fabric Let’s make a skirt with this type of fabric. I have to admit that I’ve cheated a bit, I didn’t chose the a real eyelet fabric, this one is a stretch kind… but it looks like the original, right? This type of fabric will save us time and effort. Since we can skip the step of sewing a zipper and sewing darts!
Hello there! Did you like the selection of images of the last post inspiration bohemian shirt? Here you have a DIY tutorial for you to transform a basic shirt or tunic into a more boho chic style shirt. You can use a man’s shirt too. It’ll look great with your jeans or your shorts! Personally I think the pieces with a bohemian vibe are ideal for summer. What do you think?
It’s not a surprise that we continue wearing bohemian and hippy style clothing. Because of so many music festivals this season, these items are a MUST, no matter what other parallel trend is going on at the time.
A bohemian shirt or blouse is ideal for a relaxed, summery and comfortable look. Here I have made a small collection of images to inspire you for our next DIY tutorial ” DIY Bohemian shirt “. Which one is your favorite look?
Hello DIY‘ers! After a looooong wedding weekend in Burgos, I’m ready to show you more DIY‘s! (Check out some beautiful wedding location pics on my INSTAGRAM) Today I will show you how I transformed a winter overalls (an impulse buy, without thinking) in to a much more practical summer overalls. I mention this because when I saw these overalls in the store I fell in love and bought them without thinking that these aren’t a very practical garment when you have to take 30 layers of clothing off every time you have to go to the bathroom in winter. (you can imagine what I mean, right?) Apart from this small detail, the bloody overalls had no pockets! And let’s face it, overalls that don’t have pockets to put your hands and strike an interesting pose…ARE NOT COOL! So here is a little DIY transformation: DIY overalls with pockets.
Hello DIY’ers, here is the last post from our DIY Travel Kit series. I loved making this travel kit, I’ve been lucky to use it a couple of times now and I would use it again next weekend for a little wedding getaway.
In this post I will show you how easy it is to make a cosmetic bag or as popularly known as a toilet Bag. The truth is that this is a multifunction bag, I have called it a toilet bag because to me it is very comfortable to carry my toiletries together (creams, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, among other things…) But the truth is that you can use this type of bag to carry shoes or also keep dirty clothes separate from clean clothes inside your suitcase… the inside contents are for you to decide 😉
One of the items I use a lot to decorate my house and I can get for free, is to reuse bottles or jars as vases. I love to recycle these pieces, the wine bottles, water bottles or soda bottles (glass bottles of course) can be used very nicely in different compositions playing with the heights and shapes of the bottles. It definitely gives a special touch to any corner of your home… and did I already mentioned that they are free? I don’t think twice about asking for water bottles to take home in restaurants … and so far I have not received any no’s.
Here you will see a small selection of images of bottles to use, how to use them and how to be inspired to integrate it into your personal style. Hope you like it.
Hello DIY‘ers! Today I’ll show you a way to reuse textile scraps. As a designer, it’s inevitable to feel a great passion for the textile world. When I sew, sometimes I am lucky to work with true wonders of fabrics, unique and very special textiles… And sometimes I’m left with a few pieces of fabric that are too small to sew a whole piece but that I still feel bad about throw in out. So let’s do a DIY with them! DIY scrap bracelet, an easy DIY and a nice gift idea too. An we get to re-use and re-cycle. Yipeee!!
Hello DIY‘ers! Are you traveling this summer? I hope so! Here I present you with a new post from our DIY Travel Kit series.
One of our fears when traveling is our security, especially if going to an unknown place and we are staying in a hostel or hotel… Today, many hotels have safety boxes in the rooms, but some don’t. This happened to me when I traveled to Thailand last summer. You are put in the position of going out with all your money, cards, documents, passport on you, and eventually you end up overwhelmed. In this case, you can use what I have called the DIY secret hanger. Here you can store whatever you want without being noticed where your stuff is.
Want to make your own? It’s easy!
