Tablet clutch

I’m sure we all started this year with a thousand projects and a lot of work … but we must not forget the fact that our image and the image of our belongings say a lot about us. So we must take care.

When presenting a project, homework, or even in a job interview, we use more and more our tablets. And what’s better than to take it out from a special case made with your own hands?

It will only cost you a trip to the hardware store and a couple of euros.

Insulation foam (I chose silver) This is generally used for insulating air ducts.
Your tablet, to measure the size
Pen or marker
Strong glue
Office clips or clothespins
Elastic (silver color)

Place your tablet above the foam. Trace the silhouette of the tablet and draw two centimeters around the edge.

Draw 45 ° lines out through the corners of the square to make a diamond. This will be the shape of the envelope.

Cut the diamond.

Make a cut in the corners you will fold. Glue thin lines and paste the flaps, set with office clips until the glue dries.

Make a couple of cuts to fold the top flap. Make a little hole in the top flap and insert the elastic with a double knot behind.

Insert your tablet and… ready!

This envelope is super light, cheap and not just a case for tablets, you can also use it as a clutch 🙂

I love this idea but haven’t been able to find the silver or any color of insulation foam you are writing about. Do you have any other info? Great tutorial.

Hi Zissy! Depending on where you live, if you live in America or Europe, you can find this in any hardware store such as Home Depot or Bauhaus. A good place to look is the Heating/Cooling department or the construction department. I bought it at a craft and construction store in Barcelona called Servei Estació. Good luck! 🙂
